Delete Your Account
You can request complete deletion of your Prayer Proverbial account and associated data at any time.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: From Within the App
- Open Prayer Proverbial on your device
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and cloud data will be deleted immediately.
Option 2: Via Email
- Send an email to prayerproverb@buyitfastest.co.za
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Include the email address associated with your account
- We will process your request and confirm deletion via email
What Gets Deleted
The following data will be permanently deleted:
- Your Firebase Authentication profile (email, display name, user ID)
- All data stored in Firebase Firestore (synced journal entries, preferences, subscription data)
What Is NOT Affected
The following data is not affected by account deletion:
- Data stored locally on your device (AsyncStorage) — journal entries, preferences, and streak data stored on your phone remain until you uninstall the App or clear its data manually
- App Store subscription — you must cancel your subscription separately through your Apple ID settings to avoid continued billing
Processing Timeline
Email-based deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted. In-app deletion takes effect immediately.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All cloud-synced data will be lost.
- If you have an active subscription, cancelling your subscription separately is required. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription.
- You can continue using the App without an account, but premium features and cloud sync will no longer be available.
