Afrikan Apps Studio ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Prayer Proverbial mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Email address — only if you choose to create an account using email sign-in. This is optional; the App can be used without an account.
• Journal entries — personal reflections you write within the App. These are stored locally on your device by default.

Information Stored Locally

The following data is stored on your device using AsyncStorage and is never sent to our servers unless you opt in to cloud sync:

• Journal entries and reflections
• Language preferences
• Notification preferences
• Streak and usage data
• App settings

Information Collected Automatically

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. We do not track your behaviour across apps or websites.

2. Third-Party Services

Firebase Authentication

We use Firebase Authentication to provide sign-in via Google, Apple, and email. When you sign in, Firebase receives:

• Your email address
• Your display name (from Google or Apple, if provided)
• A unique user identifier

Firebase Firestore (Cloud Sync)

If you are signed in and have a premium subscription, your journal entries and preferences may be synced to Firebase Firestore for backup and cross-device access. This is opt-in. Data stored in Firestore is associated with your Firebase user ID.

Firebase Remote Config

We use Firebase Remote Config to manage App settings and feature flags. No personal data is sent to or collected by this service.

Groq API

We use the Groq API to generate proverbs and reflections. No personal data, user identifiers, or journal content is sent to Groq. Only generic prompts related to proverb and reflection generation are transmitted.

We use the public bible-api.com API to retrieve scripture passages. No personal data is sent to this service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's core features
• To authenticate your identity when you choose to sign in
• To sync your data across devices (premium feature, when enabled)
• To process account deletion requests

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not display ads in the App. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above, solely for the purpose of providing App functionality.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Local data is stored on your device and is subject to your device's security. Cloud-synced data is protected by Firebase's security infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Cloud-synced data is retained until you request deletion. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data by:

• Using the account deletion feature in the App (Settings)
• Emailing us at prayerproverb@buyitfastest.co.za

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
